Would you like to spend your vacation on the Nature Reserve of the Basso Merse River located between Maremma and Chianti? The Farmhouse Il Poggiale, 30 Km from Siena and 45 Km from Grosseto, offers hospitality on a 17th century farm and its adjoining annex. The 9 apartments in the stone buildings have been completely renovated with independent heating and kitchenette in each unit. Wooden beams and antique furnishings add to the warmth and comfort of each apartment. The Farm is located in the gently rolling hills of the pristine green countryside with wonderful views of woods and cultivated fields in the valley. It is surrounded by large green areas; beyond them, the woods are filled with ancient oaks, beech and juniper trees which are also home to deer, hare, badgers and pheasants. The clear waters of the Merse River that flows beside the farmhouse are ideal for a refreshing swim.
